OCD Hypnotherapy and EFT can help you get your life back.
About 1 in 50 people suffer from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). OCD is a particular form of obsessive thinking and worrying over something or a compulsion to carry out a specific task or routine.
Obsessional thinking takes the form of intrusive thoughts such as constant fear of contamination by germs, worry that you might hurt someone or being unable to stop thinking blasphemous or sexual thoughts.
Compulsions can be hand washing, counting, cleaning, rituals and checking. In fact these are just a few of the obsessions and rituals that can affect anyone with OCD.
Unfortunately the relief the sufferer gets from carrying out these tasks is short lived and the ritual soon has to be completed again. This causes great emotional stress and also significantly disrupts life, work and family activities.
The main focus of NHS help is often CBT and drugs however in my experience using hypnotherapy and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) I have found they can achieve really excellent results helping people bring their anxiety levels and routines to a comfortable level. After all we manage our lives around many OCD rituals such as cleaning, checking if we have locked the door or turned the lights off without theprocess taking over our lives. The aim is to get everyday life back to a level whereby one can walk out of the door without checking it is locked ten times or worrying that every item in the house potentially harbours germs.
I have helped many clients with OCD let go of the anxiety inducing and energy sapping need to continue with rituals and obsessions and get back to living a normal life. For more information on how hypnosis can help OCD please contact me.
