Saw a young client yesterday who was worried about his future prospects for a job having not gained as many school exams as he would have liked. I talked to him about keeping his goals book updated, and also how asking a question such as “what information do I need to find the career that will fulfil me in the future” and writing it in his goals book can set the subconscious mind on a search that will often provide us with an answer. (See blog 1/30/2006).
Well, on a seemingly different tack, last week I bought a “clearance” washer dryer which had no instruction manual with it. Having already used it a few times I was no nearer to finding out which programme was which so I looked on the internet for help. Having searched unsuccessfully before for a manual, I had previously found a site with a question and answer section and last night decided to fill in the question section to see if anyone had this information. I then went to bed and forgot all about it.
This lunchtime I was in John Lewis and curiosity drew me to the washing machine section. There in front of me was a similar machine with all the programmes written on the detergent dispenser (mine for some reason is blank.) I just jotted the symbols down in my notebook and my question was answered. Coincidence or the power of writing things down to help your subconscious connect with an answer? You’ll never know unless you try>
